Remember Johnny Mnemonic? Well, with some announcements from the last few weeks, it’s closer than you think.

Having just watched the kickstarter presentation for the Oculus Rift:

And a few weeks previously having seen the leap motion:

It’s clear that a mash-up between these two technologies would result in the type of technology suggested in the 1995 film Johhny Mnemonic.
